Hoax!!! Bad Videos Claim 'Real Alien Sighting' in Australia

Fake? Probably. This video is so badly made that it's funny. There are so many reasons that this is obviously a hoax that it's hard to know where to begin. Of course, there are plenty of idiot "UFO bloggers" who just post crap like this without comment. Not me. I have too much respect for my readers.

According to "ThePolishedKnob," who posted this video (watch below) on YouTube back on April 23, 2011, "this is the high quality version of this, the sighting was about ten days ago." So, this event apparently happened on April 13, 2011, right?  Well, maybe, but there are some rather clumsy date inconsistencies. Not only that, but there are TWO fraudulent videos by this Australian liar...

Notice the time stamp in the first video (below), which says "15 4 2011." That's April 15, folks, which would be twelve days, not "ten," prior to the posting of this on YouTube. The date is not the only suspicious thing about this video: ThePolishedKnob calls this piece of crap "the high quality version," but it's grainy, shaky, blurry and out of focus even at its highest available setting of 480p. (More of my critique below the video. Advisory for Language.) There is no cat in this version: That's important, as you'll see later.

The first video, above, titled "High Quality: Real Alien Sighting 8, Spooky !!!" was posted on April 23, 2011.  But on  April 22, 2011, ThePolishedKnob posted another video, titled "HIGH QUALITY : Real Alien Sighting Australia & HQ Spooky !!!"  It featured the description, "so i fixed the whole jumpy-ness and it looks alot better." Really? It's not even the same video! And, does ThePolishedKnob also have a time machine?

Another disturbing sign that this is probably a fraud is the fact that the first video begins in what looks like full color. The cameraman, alerted by another person that there is something outside that should be recorded, turns on the camera and frantically runs through the house. We see furniture and carpet in color, but as the camera is carried through the house it smoothly transitions to what looks like infrared. That was probably done in the editing, because as that happened the camera stayed on and did not even flicker.

The dialogue in both videos gives clues, too.  In the first video, the cameraman runs to the outside deck, sounding very frightened. We see what looks like a gray alien just outside of the yard area, then at 1:46 the power in the house supposedly went out. Seconds later, at 2:10, the cameraman focuses on an open door. "I left the door open," he says breathlessly, "I'm staying here." This makes no sense: He lingered on the lighted deck for a casual shot of the "alien," but when the lights go out and he realizes the door is open -- he makes no attempt to close that door or the door to the deck! Yet it's clear that he wants us to believe that this a scary moment for him. At no point in the video does he or his friends close any door or window.  After more than a minute of this bad acting, the lights "come back on" (at 3:20). Ultimately, we're asked to believe that the gray alien ran off into the grass.

CAT CRAP: The second video,"HIGH QUALITY : Real Alien Sighting Australia & HQ Spooky !!!" is just as stupid. To repeat, ThePolishedKnob claims that he "fixed the whole jumpy-ness and it looks alot better," but it's embarrassingly obvious that this is NOT the same video. For one thing, it begins calmly with a cat walking out onto the deck. Have a look:

Remember in the "first" video, the cameraman started form inside the house, not on the deck. In this "fixed" version, he begins on the deck with "Daz" the cat. We never see the cameraman run through the house, and so on. The simple fact this video, posted on April 22, is obviously NOT the same video that was posted on April 23 speaks volumes. It says this: ThePolishedKnob is a liar, and a clumsy one at that. It says that he thinks you, the viewers, are idiots. So, unless you want to believe that the little "alien" came back and helped ThePolishedKnob with a second re-recording of this supposed event, the ONLY conclusion here is that this is one of the most tranparent hoaxes in the history of supposed alien sightings.

Just to add insult to insult, ThePolishedKnob posted yet a third version of this crap on April 30, 2011. No comment is necessary. It's a-holes like ThePolishedKnob that unfairly give serious UFO investigators a bad name. Shame on them.
